Organ Music

You know what it is like, don't you?  Impossible to find the right piece of music for a particular service.  That is why I started to write short pieces to fill the gap.  The canon now includes:

"Dance for the Flutes" (first published by "Animus" );

Variation on "Caswall", reflective to suit the usual words - "Glory be to Jesus";

Four variations on "Gwalchmai" (in 4, 5, 6 & 7 beats per bar);

A "Harvest Idyll" (less ploughing & scattering, more reflecting after a hard day);

*"Incense of Bright Angels" - an unusually reflective variation  on Darwall's tune;

Three very ethereal variations on "Veni Emanuel", *"O Lux Beata Trinitas" and "O Sacred Head" ;

A 3-piece set of variations on "Ad Cenam Agni Providi" including a Scherzo, a Dialogue (in the form of a Cornet Voluntary) and a Meditation;

"Memorial March", written for and played at the funeral of my brother, involves a sustained crescendo from very light Swell stops, indicating the sadness of a passing, up to full organ, representing the hope and joy of resurrection;

"Trumpet Voluntary" in a traditional ABA+Coda form;

A "Recessional" march and finally, for now;

*"Tuba Tune", (first published by Fagus Music ).

*Please see the Media page for recordings.  More will be added as they are made.
